Any luck with this one - I just canceled vonage, they made me pay for the adapter, but won't give me the password to unlock, so basically, I paid for a paper weight. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
It's simple enough to reset it back to factory, grab a pen unplug the power source from the modem, while pushing down and holding the reset button, plug the power back in with your free hand, hold the button down a full 20 seconds, release the reset button, unplug the power and wait a full 10 seconds, plug the power back in and wait for it to cycle back up. Open up a web browser and in the url type 192.168.15.1 and hit enter, that should bring up your challenge screen, the default username is "router" and default password is "router". That will get you in to the configuration tools, I tried to set mine up for CallCentric and got it to take the info I gave it by waiting it out. I did something wrong in my configuration because after it took it I could go to every site on the web except, you guessed it, CallCentric. I'm a long shot from whipped by this thing, I'm an electronics junkie and will figure it out or smoke it trying to. If I succeed, I'll try and do a little better than the fellow earlier in the thread that said he had it figured and then didn't share his magic with the rest of us. If one of you sort it out before I do please share the knowledge. I got a few VOIP toys to bang my head against over the next week or two. I picked up a complete Skype setup the other day for ten bucks from a thrift shop and it works great, can call 24/7 anywhere in the USA/Canada for 2.99 a month lol, Vonage isn't climbing in my pocket, there are too many other great deals out there to play with them and their call quality ain't all that from what I have been reading anyways.
I re-edited my post to get the username and password correct, it is router for both username and password, the one I posted initialy was for a skype phone I'm playin with now also, got the two mixed up when I was punching all this out on the keyboard. Not the first nor the last typo I'll ever make. Good thing I learned to laugh at myself, I'm my own best entertainment somedays.
