I got this letter saying my Cricket wireless rebate was invalid. Thing is, I never ordered any phone, or submitted any rebate for it (as I didn't buy it). The offer dates are identical to the Newegg 99¢ deals back in October, though, and it is from Young America...which a couple of those rebates (namely TrendNet) went to. So, I call them up and ask wth??? They tell me it was their form submitted, etc etc...now I wonder if I need to worry whether someone ordered a cell phone in my name. They insist that the phone wasn't activated, etc...I am really clueless on this one, and a little concerned. Anyone have any info on these folks?

can you check the status of your Trendnet rebates? Sounds like maybe they typed in the wrong offer code on one of your rebates.

I tried that, can't seem to locate it.
I am very uneasy about the whole thing. Mainly because I initially asked the Cricket CSR if she could see my paperwork because my first thought was maybe it was delivered to the wrong PO Box. First she said "No, I can only see what has been entered into my system". Then, later, as I'm insisting I need to know if there is a cell phone out there in my name, she was even a bit rude and said "I know what our form looks like and this is our form". I called her on the contradiction and she stated she could see the form? -huh-
I dunno, it's really fishy.
