Bargainshare Holiday Contest

Yes, you've found another great Bargainshare holiday contest. This one is exciting for both new and old members. Up for grabs this time is a brand new HP 5440 Inkjet Photo Printer (wow!):

The contest will end on 11/18 (Saturday) at midnight EST. I'll pick a randomly selected post from the thread to win the prize. Assuming you are the lucky person, and you followed the rules (see below) I will contact you and get the printer to you ASAP.

Rules

I decided to make this contest a little (not much) more effort.

For new members (with 20 posts or less), to enter simply tell us something you're shopping for this holiday season that you'd like a deal on. For example:

You can also tell us how much you like Bargainshare, our sense of community and friendliness, etc.

For older members (with 20 posts or more) simply pick one of the new members' requests for a deal, do some research, start a new thread on the deal and post a link to it here. For example:

I hope this encourages older members to help some of our newer members, and encourages our newer members to not be shy and we'll help you find a great deal for a gift, or for yourself, or whatever.

As an alternative, for "older" members, you may find a new member's question in another location on the board (e.g. Deal Discussion or Black Friday 2006), respond to their question, and post a link to your helpful response here. For example:

Hi There! I'm Eileen and a relatively newbie. I joined last year, but didn't really respond to anything until a week or so ago. I am still clueless on what I'm looking for this holiday season, so there is no investigating for me. Pretty much the whole site helps because I keep looking at all the bargains and hoping something jumps out at me. Also it might help me not wait until the last minute which I always do.

Hi, and welcome to Bargainshare! Consider the Uniden phones..they are excellent and allow you to set each one with different settings to make them unique. My wife has about 5 in our home all set to play different music as they ring..It is irritating at times to me but great phones.A few months back Staples had a deal with rebates on them and if they ever do it on them again I will surely buy more.

ann taylor has some really good cashmere sweaters, especially the nice thick ones. I have bought them for my wife in the past. Check their selection in your local store and if you like something, write down the item number. Then shop online. Or try ebay.

Not sure how it compares, but the Canon A530 digital camera is on sale BF and Saturday at Kmart for $128.99 The Kodak 6.1 MegaPixel Digital Camera is on sale at target for $98.00 - I have a Kodak because they are idiot-proof! And that is why i own one.

Lou12341 I'm not sure what your asking about the coupons and refunds... you want to send them in for family members? if it is a coupon link, just fill in the family member's NAZ (name, address, zip code). You may need to set up a yahoo email address for that person. If it is a refund, you'd have to follow the purchase rules & regs and then mail in for that family member.

As for the iPod or desktop..... check out the BF forum for some desktop deals (if you are brave). Otherwise, tune into IRD frequently. Dell deals, compusa, cc etc have sale ads all the time. Someone usually posts the best deals for those stores weekly (although dell seems weak lately).
