upon realizing how much time I spend reading yahoo finance and how little actual investing I do, I realized I really need to brush up on my finance (and learn some new things). of course, the world of finance books is filled with questionable ideas. there's a thread at FWF (search for "books") with some ideas, but I wanted to throw it out to B$ too - what are your favorite finance-related books? investing, daytrading, finance theory, business, whatever - what's the best?
I'll start it off:
Stocks for the Long Run - never finished it, but solid info on equity investing for starters
When Genius Failed - captivating story of the failure of once-big-time hedge fund Long Term Capital Management, with some lessons on risk management for the small investor
Unconventional Success - on my to-read list, it's advice/critiques on the mutual fund industry from Yale's CIO
