I have no idea about PAP2 Original and log locations. Reding PAP2V2 logs shows this entry [I used 217.195.32.11 as proxy server and Registrar]

SSMU: {--- Message Received: Received from addr=217.195.32.11:5060, UDP
SIP/2.0 404 Not found
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP

May be we should check message/ user agent signature, address & port on PAP2Bravo (Original) and that might clue in new thoughts !

Very Interesting. Let me try and setup a syslog server and check the log on PAP2 original. Also check http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,15847480~start=200 - search for SSMU - someone pointed out that the dialplan might be wrong. Let's try it!

@Soufan: Can you check this too?

Thanks!

If you have reached this far - then your PAP2 is unlocked :-)

To configure SIP do the following:

1. Login to http://pap2ip/ username: admin password: admin
2. Go to http://pap2ip/Voice_adminPage.html username: Admin password: Admin

You should be able to setup VoIp providers from there.

pap2ip is your Pap2's IP address.

I would agree with you. It could be dial plan and/or some other settings. Also i think it could be the way username / passwords are being transported. I am trying to figureout if it's not accepting [listening] requests or it's entertaining and rejecting becasue of authentication. bang.gif

Let us know if you make any progress.

Steps I went through to unlock my RTP300-VD (btw, who puts VD in a (model) name?)

1) Dowload the CYT tool (cyt_30_win32.zip)
2) Download this firmware and unzip it rtp300-3-1-10.zip
3) Use the CYT tool, follow the instructions included in the ZIP file
4) Go to http://192.168.15.1/update.html
5) Enter user as username and tivonpw as password
6) Browse to the unzipped 3.1.10 firmware file and upload it

Afterwards I found the most recent firmware here: rtp300_fw_3.1.17_US.von.zip

You can probably use this firmware in step 6 and skip the 3.1.10 version. After I upgraded to 3.1.17 the username became Admin with a blank password for the firmware upgrade page. See this post: link

Good luck and thanks to everyone who posted info to make this unlocking possible!

New Version of CYT unlocker 3.5
Download Link

Newly Supported Adapter: Motorola vt2442 (possibly the other vt2xxx series)
To use this tool with a Motorola vt2442, make sure to add the CMD-line arg: MOTO
For example: c:\> cyt35.exe MOTO
D-link VTA-VR Beta support. Preliminary results show that it does indeed unlock this adapter.
Here are some extra instructions for this adapter:

To use this tool with a D-link VTA-VR, make sure to add the CMD-line arg: DLINK
For example: c:\> cyt35.exe DLINK
According to rcilink, this new 3.5 version also has a preview of an upcoming menu that will (soon) allow you to alter the XML.
New file re-scanned with kaspersky. Looks clean.

Vonage supports 7-, 10-, 11- digit dial plans. Can anyone recommend sample dial plans for PAP2V2?
pstrex
I have problem with dial plan also. I have wrtp54g (Vonage) and I want to use internetcalls on line1 and vonage on line2. Here is what I did:

I used CYT 3.5 to unlocked wrtp54G and get the Admin password from Vonage XML file.
CYT 3.5 reset all voice settings to default, at this point I was able to register with sip.internetcalls.com and I was able to dial out (I haven't change dial plan - I used default).
I couldnt get Vonage to work so I put the vonage firmware back on the router but now I have the Admin password and can access Voice tabs.

Right after firmware upgrade vonage start working (line2), then I accessed Voice setting and I change Line1 to use internetcalls but I saw that Dial Plan was: 666. I changed it to default dial plan (the one I used with internetcalls before).

Right now I am registerd on both line1 - internetcalls and line2 - vonage. I am able to place a calls on vonage line but for some reason whatever number I dial on internetcalls liene it connects me to China or some other asian country. I checked my recent calls on internetcalls.com web site and looks like +666 is added in front of the numbers I am trying to dial. Let say I dial 007181234567 from my phone but internetcalls is trying connect me to +666007181

Does anyone know what the problem may be? Is it my dialing plan?

Thanks,
Marcin

Very interesting. I think we should try loading the PAP2 V2 firmware from Vonage and get into Admins ections since we already have it from Provision.xml and try this out. 666 is what is setup by Vonage by default (isn't it the devil's number???). Once other SIP Trunks register then we could play with the dial-plan.

What do others think?

I think when you provision it to vonage it locks both line with dial plan 666.
I looked at extracted xml file and saw 666 for both lines.

It is possible that after getting it provisionsed with Vonage it is overwriting dial plan settings.
Also, it keeps polling and checking with server so must be washing out most of user seetings every 'time interval'.

Sorry, didn't have much thoughts, kinda giving up on this wink.gif

How about provisioning it from your own server with tiMAC.xml but using your own settings inside? Possible?

Just an FYI. Using the newest CYT, I was finally able to unlock my VTech IP8100, and make changes to it, and is now working perfectly with my Asterisk PBX.

Have you tried using it through the web-based asterix server - www.pbxes.org ? I will be giving it a shot and then reporting back.

Have you noticed that PBXES looses the registration after a while with voicestick and you have just make adummy change and click apply on the web interface?

I dont see a place where you can configure the register expire ?

The way I found out is, On the status page of pbxes, all the extensions and the trunks will be green initially and voicestick will be greyed out after a while.

That is a known bug - check the pbxes.com forums. It seems VoiceSTick uses some wierd way to keep registrations alive. But this could easily by fixed by pbxes.com usin a cron job on the server to auto-register every 1 hour.

It sounds like they're both pretty good. There's a lot more information out there for the original PAP2 in terms of configurations.

Also, stuff like Outbound Proxy and STUN Server option aren't yet available on the new V2. I think in the long run the V2 is probably the better unit once people are able to modify it more and work past some if its' current quirks. People are hoping for better V2 firmwares down the road too.

Instructions are posted in the first post and are also located in the CYT download.

If you get stuck somewhere using the instructions, please post where exactly so someone will help you.

Here's a cut and paste from the instructions where people can get hung up....

What to look for if it does not work:

1. Check to make sure you have a web browser open to the device.
(that means login as 'admin', not just open the page).

2. Make sure windows firewall is disabled. The device needs to
talk to the PC running the CYT program!

3. Did you wait long enough? It can easily take up to 1 minute!

* If you change the Admin / user passwords and forget them, just
run CYT program again and reset them! Remember, this will destroy
your custom SIP settings each time you run the CYT program...

I have a Linksys PAP V2. I downloaded the latest cyt 39c tool. Checked that the firmware version is 3.19c. Checked the ip address of the PAP device. As per the instructions of the CYT tool, I need to login to the device. I am a bit confused. How do I do this? I go to the ip address of the linksys device using the browser. I click on Admin login and it asks me a password. I try admin/admin and it does not work. The CYT tool keeps on giving me a security violation message as I have not logged in to the device. Can anyone help what I am doing wrong here? Any advice will be appreciated.

technically 3.9 doesn't add a whole lot, so that's a good that there's a fall back to 3.5.

Hi, I just did all the steps to unlocked my PAP2 Ver.2, I could get the output.xml file but I don't know what to do with it.

I can access very well to the [http://mypap2address/Voice_adminPage.html] and see the all the tabs and info, also I can get in to [http://mypap2address/Provision.html]. I tried to configured my account to make internetcalls, but it doesn't work.

It's anything that have to do with the output.xml file? Do I forget any step to follow?

It might.

I've had a 2.4 ghz phone right next to my wireless router and it never seemed to interfere. Probably depends on the combination of equipment.

If you're in that position where you aren't sure, i would test it out the equipment within the return policy.
