Yes, you are right!
But I cannot catch seller during a mounth....And I'm in Russia and seller in USA.
And this can be keep on for a long time...
So it seems to me that in this case is faster to unlocking it by myself.

So if anybody knows any methods how to unlock RTP300 from Vonage to RTP300-NA - I will be very appreciate any kind of help on this problem.

Ok, I read the entire post I have pap2 v2 and unlocked successfully and have full access to Provision.html , Voice_adminPage.html. I have setup stanaphone account and trying to configure that on this.

When I have access Voice_adminPage.html I have 4 tabs.

1. SIP, 2.Line1 , 3.Line2, 4.Common Coding

In Line1 Tab I have configured all the following parameters

Caller ID Name: MYUSER#
User Name: MYUSER#
Password: MYPASSWORD
Proxy Server:sip1.stanaphone.com
Proxy Port:5060
Registrar Address:sip1.stanaphone.com
Registrar Port:5060
Digit Map:xxT|*1xx|[349]11|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxT|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|011x.T

and then when I check the status page
"Provisioning Status" Provisioned
and Line1 Regirstration it shows up nothing.

I have unlocked the device(PAP2 ver 2) and am using this with voipbuster. I bought a viatalk package and am able to dial out and everything. But if i have to key in anything after that, it does'nt work. Looks like there is a problem with the DTMF but I dont know where to change it. Does anyone have a clue?

I get stuck at the provisioning server with my dlink VTA. seems as the server doesn't answer to the dlink... weird... i dont even have a firewall or antivirus working.. is it possible to get the xml file so i'll set up manually a tftp server with the xml?

Hi all i have just used cyt46 to unlock my device with no problems.
i can noe login with Admin/Admin however i have noticed that fonage provision setttings are still on the provision tab. doas any one know of a way to load moded firmware to totaly remove the fonage settings?
i can still use the device but i have a feeling that onces its factoty reset the decice will get reprovisiond/locked to fonage!

Please let me know if thear is any way to stop this!

Question about the WRTP54G. I have two of them, Once is used for vonage the second i got yesterday. All unlocked and all. My question is which software would be better the one vonage has out 1.00.62, Or the other one floating around that i found which is 1.00.62-NAr6 which looks a little buggy on the admin screen, Or the new one from linksys 3.1.22. I have the 3.1.22 on there now and set it up to test with sipnumber.com and it working. can't dial out unless you put a few bucks into the account but tried calling from my vonage line and works.

Reason i am asking is going to dump vonage soon. and going to try out Viatalk service, Have the sunrocket gizmo now but well within my 31 day trial and going to dump them.

SO overall not sure which of the following firmwares will work with Viatalk i know the 3.1.22 will. But not sure about the 1.00.62 from vonage.

I try some Dial Plans and cant make calls. I receive calls but cant make calls.

Someone can help me?

On first login page, User Name is "admin". Password is also "admin".

Hello,
I'm in need of desperate help in grabbing my provisioned tiMAC.xml file. I'm done with the CYT procedure.

I've tried following xperiate's directions to the letter but each attempt at it produces the tfpt: don't know host 'ti.ftp.vonage.net' error message.

Using a straight cable, my device is connected to one of the LAN ports in my ROUTER. So is my PC. Firewall had been disabled. So is my internet access.

I know I'm doing something wrong. But I can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to be having problem with using a domain for the sip proxy instead of the IP

IP works fine..

Anyone notice this or have a fix..

is it possible to unlock the vonage updated VTA-VR?

I connected my new VTA-VR to my router and it updated the firmware to the latest version.(Firmware: VTA-11.4.0-r060331-1.00.08-r061127.img, boot loader : 1.3.8.1602). It seems cyt can't unlock it. I can still login as user/user, but cyt will stop at this step:

The Pap2 ver2 has new firmware
(1.00.22) that seems to resist cyt.

Let me answer my own questions. :-)

According to rcilink in this post:

You can reset your VTA-VR:
If you don't use VTA for active Vonage subscription, These steps should fix that 'unknown' Support password problem..

To reset 'Support' password...

1. Press and hold the reset button (on back of device)

2. Remove and re-apply power to VTA while holding-in reset button

3. After about 15 to 20 seconds, LEDs should flash and device is factory reset.

4. Let go of reset button after LEDs flash

5. Keep Internet disconnected while you use web browser to login as Support (pw= tivonpw)

This should work for you. If not, please post here and we can dig in further.

Remember, don't do this if you use your VTA for Vonage. If you do this, it will erase all settings!!

Then you can login as Support, password is either tivonpw or just blank.

DOWNGRADE the firmware to VTA-11.4.0-r060331-1.00.07-r060418.img

Don't allow VTA to talk to Internet

Run CYT and unlock device.

Unlock and get the path and the key. :-)

In 3.1.17-na firmware go to the "Voice" page select "Admin Login" on the right, then "advanced view" near center, select Line 1 (or 2), and under Proxy and Registration enter your trixbox IP address Poxy and Registration in the box marked Proxy.

Here is a question for everyone pertaining to a WRTP54G router that was a vonage device that has been flashed with the 3.1.24-NA been using Viatalk with the unit as i have 2 of them here is the problem i run into: Every once in a while the problem i am seeing is that when making a call or getting a call it is they can hear me but i can't hear them, or could be they can't hear me but i can hear them. Echo's off and on, and i have tried everything under the sun to figure it out. and out of options at this point, Now not sure if it could be a bug in the new ver of linksys firmware or not. But on my line two i have a different provider and really don't see those problems there. Was thinking about trying 3.1.17-NA on the unit. But not even sure if it is a firmware issue or not.

Pap2 V2. I have the RC4 software and was able to get the output.xml file from the long key.

Questions
1) how to disable provisioning?
2) once the xml output file is decrypted, does it need to be uploaded to the router?

A Success Story: Unlocking a Linksys RTP300

I got a Linksys RTP300 on eBay. It was locked to Vonage (no access to the Voice tab) but I bought it to use for a bring your own VoIP provider. I started doing research, including a few forums such as this one, and I wanted to share what worked for me. It did have an older firmware on it (something like 1.00.62) so first thing I did was download the latest from Linksys (3.1.17 NA) but the unit will not allow it to load since I didn't have the NA version of the router (it will let you use a modified file).

To gain access to the Firmware Update portion of the router use these steps:

1. Download the firmware for your device that you wish to upgrade your device with.

2. Using a web browser, open a page at: »192.168.15.1 (or use the IP you set on it)

3. Login or use the default (username=admin password=admin)

4. Change URL to: »192.168.15.1/update.html

5. At this 'login' screen, enter:
username= user
password= tivonpw

6. Follow directions to upgrade firmware that show on screen.

After a few minutes, it did reset the router after it was finished (I did not have to do this manually like I saw listed on some posts). After that, I was able to log back into the router (everything reset to default) and the Voice tab was available (with advanced, user & admin links not having any password set). I reset it up for my LAN and I set it up with the settings I got from ViaTalk. I got a test number and my phone worked over the Internet. A few weeks later I had my number ported.

Some possible logins/passwords:
Admin / Admin or blank
admin / admin
user / user
Support / tivonpw
user / tivonpw

Some other things I would have tried next include:
= Downloading this mod'd firmware 3.1.10 to make it rtp300-NA accessible voice tab login: admin pw: is blank http://www.dslreports.com/r0/download/9937...p300-3-1-10.zip or find 1.00.62-NA.
= Using the CYT unlocking software that works with more than just the RTP300 (just do a search in the forums for CYT).
= Try VuckFonage.
= Try using openwrt or tftp or command-line (but ssh did not work with the locked router or with the mod'd firmware).

Anyone know if there is a memory leak or other problem with this router? Because I have problems with the VoIP (voice breaking up) after running bit torrent on a computer connected to the router.

Had same problem. try 3 things
1. Firewall, disable if it is still enabled
2. Make sure only one network interface is on (I had wireless enabled too)
3. Restart the box (not the pc). Sometimes, the reboot command doesnt work

Also, while it is waiting, go to the provision tab. is it configured with your PC as the server and step-1 as the prefix?

If nothing else works, manually set the provisioning details and try.

Of course, you can go the manual route, set the provision tab with details (I prefer http:// and run a web server), copy the generic.xml file to your www directory.

I am having the same problem as kamranata with my vt2442. Cyt39c sits at the "server waiting for your device" screen and no update happens.

I can only log on the the 2442 with router/router no other combinations I have read about seems to work.
have tried:
Admin/Admin
admin/admin
user/user
Support/Tivonpw
user/tivonpw
an many combinations of the above

I can not find, do not have access to, any provisioning tab to configure provisioning options manually.

I have read that CTY does not work on the vt2442 with fw 11.4 but will work if fw 11.1 is loaded. Again, I do not have access to up/down grade the firmware.

Question: Will setting up a HTTP, DNS, TFTP servers locally be a workaround to feed a generic.xml to the box with out having to log on as Administrator.

Just knda stuck. Any help would be appreciated. bang.gif

Wow I'm being quoted!! banana.gif I had a similar problem with my first wrtp54g... could call the trixbox and hear it ring but as soon as it connected lost my sound... even though my voice was going to the caller. Solution: Log into the Voice settings, switch to admin then select advanced view go to the SIP tab and scroll to the bottom NAT Support Parameters and select yes for all Handle VIA and Insert VIA. (not sure what they are but It always seems to work.)

Well i sure hope this fix's that little bug, as i went into the Sip area and changed all of these:
They where all at the default of No!

Handle VIA received: yes Handle VIA rport: yes
Insert VIA received: yes Insert VIA rport: yes

So now it is the testing and see what it wants to do, and see if this fix's the problems i am seeing here.

Sure hope it does!
Will repost if this fix's it!

I am fairly technical, but probably a notch below most people posting to this forum, so please excuse me if my question has been answered and I'm just missing it.

I have a Vonage Linksys router RT31P2 registered with Vonage and a friend just gave me a Vtech IP8100-2. I would like to move my Vonage service from the RT31P2 to the IP8100-2. I am guessing I could call them, but have a preference to doing it myself it is isn't too hard. In the future I may want to move the IP8100-2 to another service once I find another provider that can do all of the following:
- full access on an incoming and outgoing basis to the POTS world
- works with local number portability in both directions
- service quality >= Vonage
- price <= vonage (for low volume)
- consumer or business class service (i.e., friendly to non-techies).

I haven't used Vonage but I from what I understand (of general opinion) is that you can only use their equipment so they have access to it and even if the Vtech was 'locked' to Vonage, they probably wouldn't let it back on their network after it was used. That's part of the reason that I never used them besides the hassle of 'unlocking' a device that was locked to them so I could use it with another provider that lets you bring your own device, and that they are expensive. There are other services that are cheaper such as ViaTalk and SunRocket (I have a friend using this service). ViaTalk.com lets you bring your own VoIP hardware (just make sure you have access to make changes to the Voice/SIP settings). It took a couple weeks for my number to port. Their support has been good/friendly so far for either phone or web tickets. If you ever want to switch to ViaTalk, you could use my account 13135437773 for a referral.

I'm trying to unlock my pap2 ver2 vonage, firmware 1.00.16,, using CYT46. It tells me I'm unlocked yet when I try getting into voice I keep getting this response !! Please contact your service provider for further information. Is anyone else having this problem and how can this be corrected?

Hi all

Is there a different or newer firmware for pap2 v2??
I have my pap2 v2 unlocked and is working just fine for every 10 or 12 hours. Then is zaping him self and i have to pull the power out and hard reboot it.
Is not doing me any good if is keep crashing like that every now and then.
By saying crashing i really mean that.When the pap crashed i can't access via browser or ping it.
Friend of mine just get one that weekend and his pap is doing it too, so maybe that is a known issue already.
I also like to know if there is a way to turn some debug option on so i can see if something is going wrong.
Please if anyone is experiencing the same issues and have a way of fixing it to let me know.

I have Motorola VT2442 with Software Version: 11.4.1-r070201-1.3.2 -r1 , I did everything but no succeed , I believe with this new frimware we can not unlock it .

Let’s think that for some how the Admin user written beneath of the firmware 3.1.14 does not exists or have been changed by vonage. The CYT software will work same way? I don't think so. Cause when I typing that Admin value. The interface says that I have provided a "bad user/password". You see? I did try several combinations, none of them was succeeded. Please, help!

If you already upgraded to 1.00.62-NA, then where ever you got that firmware - they may have the info on the password (if needed). The above passwords may work with locked (to Vonage) versions of the RTP300 or some upgraded firmwares. Other options are to try contacting Linksys or try to reset the whole router.

Folks, How about an original WRTP54G setup CD/ISO? Does anyone has one available to share? That would avoid problems within short circuits and whatever some of us just don't how to do. Just a thought.... biggrin.gif

Did that little fix work for you? I am going to try it on my Linksys RTP300 because I have had similar problems. I am using the 3.1.17 firmware.


Well i did put the fix into place. and once in awhile i still get it off and on, even went with other ports also. Could be a issue with the provider, But you know how that story goes they will pass the buck back to you.

had the same problem. you can overcome it by using the following format when you dial out:
00 + country code + area code + rest of phone the number + the hash key (#).

I can belive what I did two weeks ago... I lost the admin password that I have set by myself 1 year ago and I was unable to remember it... Then I used the IVR "****" and then "73738" to reset the device while it was connected on the internet. Guess what? Fonage take over it and now i'm stuck. The new firware installed is 3.1.9LSc and I'm able to reset the PAP2 with the IVR to gain access to the web in USER mode only. In the Admin section, it still ask me for a password. Guess what... I didn't grab my GPP_K when I had this opportunitie 1 year ago. I have tried lot of thing, spoofing with DNS, TFTP and WEB server ( PAP2 doesn't hit the Web server because the firmware is already 3.1.9LSc ). I tried everything and now I have no idea what else to do. Currently I am trying the brute forcing by using a key generator with 8 caracters Upper and lower case. At this time more than million of possibilities has been tried without succes. I think there is a few billions of possibilities if the password is really 8 caracters Up and Lower case. I was also trying to get a way to find out how to solder a jtag to get the flash reprogrammed, I didn't found anything on that. So now i'm running out of idea. Can someone have a solution and did the same misstake that I did? I spend more than 25 hours on that...

BTW... It's a PAP2-NA v1...

You can reset your VTA-VR:
If you don't use VTA for active Vonage subscription, These steps should fix that 'unknown' Support password problem..

To reset 'Support' password...

1. Press and hold the reset button (on back of device)

2. Remove and re-apply power to VTA while holding-in reset button

3. After about 15 to 20 seconds, LEDs should flash and device is factory reset.

4. Let go of reset button after LEDs flash

5. Keep Internet disconnected while you use web browser to login as Support (pw= tivonpw)

This should work for you. If not, please post here and we can dig in further.

Remember, don't do this if you use your VTA for Vonage. If you do this, it will erase all settings!!

Then you can login as Support, password is either tivonpw or just blank.

DOWNGRADE the firmware to VTA-11.4.0-r060331-1.00.07-r060418.img

Don't allow VTA to talk to Internet

Run CYT and unlock device.

Unlock and get the path and the key. :-)
