You might want to ask in a computer site like Anandtech or HardOCP. You'll certainly get a better response over there.

Your links aren't all working, but...

Is that a retail box or OEM processor? If it's OEM make sure you've got a heatsink and fan.

Otherwise looks ok. One question - what are you using this for? If it's no gaming, I'd look for a motherboard with onboard video and save some money instead of the x1300. If you do plan to do much gaming, I'd look into a better card for not too much more. I don't know where the x1300 is exactly in the performance arena, but I'd think a nvidia 7600GT would beat it soundly for only about $125 or so (check fatwallet or anandtech forums for frequent video card deals - most don't get posted here due to lack of interest)

Also, unless you're set on building it yourself, you might want to check the latest Dell deals and compare the prices; might be cheaper to just have Dell build it for you.

no way dont wanna go out and "buy" a computer i wanna learn how to build it by myself! haha
i already heard about anandtech.com but for some reason i cant join their forum -_-

Don't be set on buying the drives and memory at just one vendor. The regulars around here are always posting one of a kind deals on those items up in Hot Deals. Just don't wait and think about a deal, since the better ones disappear in a very short time.

Just curious - are you having issues with your current mobo/CPU? If not, I would keep them and simply disable whatever onboard you don't want to use and purchase add-in sound cards, video cards, etc. That way you can either put some money in your pocket when you are done, or buy better add-ins than you could if you were also buying a mobo and CPU.

1. Buy a Dell the next time they have a price mistake.
2. Remove all the components from the Dell.
3. Put all the components back together.

Now you know how to build a computer yourself, and you've saved a lot of money. wink.gif
