We are given an allowance to purchase light fixtures for the townhouse that we are having built. I am looking for suggestions on where to get some deals in the Chicago area.

If you can get to a Menard's this week they are having that 17% off everything you can get in a paper (grocery sized) bag this week. They were handing the bags out at the store by me. If you can't get the big fixtures in the bag, you could get some smaller ones, lightbulbs, wire & hardware in it.

Home Depot has a sale here....It started early this month, so a lot of it's probably sold out

Also Home Depot is clearing out many styles of fixtures. In our store they are on racks in the lighting section. I got a new Halogen S shaped cieling mount track light bar with 4 lights for $44 marked down from $169 originally. Each time I go back there are more styles added to the racks.

Toys R' Us is a good place to look if they're closing stores in Chicago
