I recently had the pleasure of dining at a Waffle House in Atlanta and really enjoyed their waffles and grits. banana.gif

The grits were thick and had texture to them, almost like a tapioca pudding. I've been cruising the aisles in the grocery store looking form grits to make at home, and all I can find are "instant grits". Now, if grits are anything like oatmeal, I like the old fashioned kind more than the instant kind. But do "old fashioned/non-instant" grits exist? Please enlighten me.

They do exist. I am not sure where you live, but I find them right next to the old fashioned oatmeal in the grocery store or Walmart.

I'll wager HarleyD would know...

The grits I use are from Quaker. They are in the round box just like the oatmeal. smile.gif
