OK - i am trying to clean out some junk that I no longer use, and came a cross a box full of Sega stuff - Genesis, 32x, contrrollers, extension cords, and about 20-25 games. I know we have a lot of ebay masters on here - and was wondering if there is enough of a market for this kind of stuff to make it worth selling?
Miranda
Whenever I think about selling something (though I've only sold ONE thing on eBay ever), I always check the completed auctions to get an idea of what things are selling for. smile.gif
Dealguy
Wow, seems like it would sell much higher than I thought.

Tell me what you have and I may be interested in taking it all from you.

lol

I've got a Sega Genesis/32x just gathering dust too. Believe it or not, I still have all the original packaging.

AM*, here's what I have if you're interested

The unit itself w/ the 32x adapter thing
whatever controller/controllers came with it
all original cables
a pair of wireless controllers
a game called "Lethal Enforcer" which came with a gun to hook up to the unit (have the original packaging)
whatever Sonic the Hedgehog game came with it (I think Sonic 3)
Mortal Kombat
T2
Pebble Beach Golf
NHL 95
NHL 96

We didn't buy many games since my husband only played hockey and Doom tongue.gif

Got an Atari 2600 with about 13 games if anybody is interested - waiting for it to become an antique tongue.gif

AM* -

I have the Genesis unit, 32X unit, all cables, two (or more) controllers, controller extension cords, and I will get you a complete list of games tonight. I probably have about 8-10 32x games, and the rest are regular old genesis games.
Miranda
I'd be interested in any of the above (the Segas, Atari, annd games). I just don't have the cash right now though (waiting for rebates).
DrZoidberg
yes these go for qutie a bit on ebay. My friend wanted a sega master system for his birthday and i looked online for his mom at the prices and it wa like 60.00+ for a system, 2 controllers and a couple games.

binkie, there's not much in there I see that I really need, but here is the value on everything for you.

The unit itself w/ the 32x adapter thing
whatever controller/controllers came with it
all original cables
a pair of wireless controllers
a game called "Lethal Enforcer" which came with a gun to hook up to the unit (have the original packaging)
whatever Sonic the Hedgehog game came with it (I think Sonic 3)
Altogether, this is worth about $30.00

Mortal Kombat - $2.00
T2 - $1.00
Pebble Beach Golf - $1.00
NHL 95 - $1.00
NHL 96 - $1.00

Unfortunately, Genesis anything is not worth much right now. Video game values rise and fall like the commodities market.

However, if you have everything complete and wanted to list it as a set - my recommendation - you would get $40 to $50.
BornAgainStar
JDMnAR, there's also not much in there I need, but I will also give you the value on everything.

Complete (box/instructions)
Tecmo Super Baseball - $1.00
NBA Jam T.E. - $1.00
NFL Quarterback Club '96 - $1.00

Air Force Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf - $4.00
Metal Head 32x - $3.00
Toughman Contest 32x - $1.00
Mortal Kombat II 32x - $6.50
Star Wars Arcade 32x - $5.00
Golf Magazine 36 Great Holes 32x - $1.00
Doom 32x - $5.00

Missing box and/or instructions
Fatal Fury 2 (no original box) - $1.00
Knuckles' Chaotix 32x (no instructions) - $16.00
NBA Action '94 (no instructions) - $1.00
Aero the Acrobat (no box) - $1.00

Columns (no box or instructions) $1.50

I also have the box for Sonic the Hedgehog (so the game is probably somewhere) tongue.gif

Again, the problem is the value on anything Genesis is low right now. There are some exceptions, but even a game like Knuckles Chaotix - which is rare - is trading low right now.

If you wanted to do it all as a set, I would list Knuckles seperately. List everything else together and you can expect about $60 to $70 for everything.

Oh, and sports game are generally never worth anything. They make them every year, so there's no reason to collect the older version when you can get the same game in the new version.

Thank you for the information AM*. I appreciate it. smile.gif Now to decide if I want to figure out the whole ebay thing or try and sell it over on FW or in the paper.
binkie94
Thanks AM*

And yes, everything is complete (all boxes and manuals, I'm a real stickler about that sort of thing) I never even thought of selling it but I'd take $40 to $50 in a heartbeat yes.gif

Oh, and the unit came with Sonic 2. I must have bought Sonic 3 somewhere along the line tongue.gif
