It's FAR at compusa this week, but that's after a $30 upgrader rebate which I don't qualify for (although can probably pick up an old version of something that qualifies for cheap on ebay)...

Just curious if anyone's used this. It looks good on paper - both full backups (images I assume) or specific files/folders. Drive spanning, bootable cds, scheduling, etc. Sounds like something I could really use, but I'm figuring it'll cost me 10-30 bucks to pick up depending on getting something for the upgrade rebate.

So, any thoughts? Anything out there better for cheap? I know backup is critical and I need to start, so looking for something good and hopefully inexpensive smile.gif

There's a backup utility that comes in XP. If you have the pro version it may already be installed. If you have the home version it needs to be installed from the XP CD. Run NTBACKUP.MSI from \Valueadd\msft\ntbackup. After it's installed you can find it in Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Backup

It's not the best program in the world, but it works OK for me.
