As in the topic description, if I turn off SSID on my router, how would my notebook know to connect to that network? Since it doesn't turn up as a detected network, even having it at the top of the preferred networks wouldn't help it, right? Just wondering if I'll have any forseeable problems if I turned off SSID this weekend!

Thanks.
Alan
Turning off SSID broadcast is just that - turning off it's broadcast. It's still there, but not being advertised as available. If the network is already configured in the wireless client you should have no problem accessing it. If it's not configured then just enter the SSID manually in the client, along with the encryption key (if enabled).
