I copied this from another board, since I didn't get this because I demanded my membership be cancelled and a refund. I'm glad to say that I got out while I still could because it looks like to me that this is starting to fall apart on them, especially when they are starting to tell their members what they can and can't do with the free gifts they sent out to them. Hello it's a gift whatever happens to it after they give it away shouldn't be their concern~LOL!!! OH well-hoping everyone gets their bags soon with what they were promised(kinda also looks like they ran out of products and not everyone is getting what they were promised in their bags either). wow did you see this! got this in email today and i can not belive that they can figure out who is selling what on ebay but i can't belive why anyone would want to. these are really nice gifts that they are giving out!

I am writing to you all today to hopefully clear up some misconceptions about our organization and the status of our gift bags. First off, all members who joined before the cutoff will receive Mother's Day gifts, if you have not already.
As many of you know, in May we began sending gift bags to our members for Mother's Day. As we have done in the past, we receive items from our wonderful sponsors who provide products for our members to sample. The sponsors provide varying quantities based on their abilities. These are all donations for which we are very appreciative and in return for which we thank them on our site. The companies who provide these gifts are under no obligation to provide products for all of our members and we can never guarantee that all members will get each and every gift.
The purpose of Modern Moms Club is to offer mothers the opportunity to meet and establish friendships with other moms. On the National level, we offer statewide events and our discount card program. The gifts we provide are a "perk" of membership, if you will, not the purpose for membership.
We fully understand that the distribution of the Mother's Day gifts was not optimal. We received a large influx of members at once and were unable to keep up with sending them efficiently compounded with shipping and product issues. This was a giant learning curve for us, and we apologize that our members have had to deal with it. Based on this most recent gift season, we are outsourcing future gifts to a distribution facility which will ensure that packages are sent, and received, in a timely fashion.
We also realize there has been concern as to why we would recruit new members when we hadn't fulfilled all of the gifts for existing members. Yes, we did ask our members to help us reach a new membership goal, which we hoped would benefit all members in the long run. As we explained, by reaching a new level of members, we would be able to secure more wonderful gifts in the future. Until now, the gifts were fulfilled by our small staff. Because we are outsourcing the distribution of future gifts, we knew we could handle subsequent distributions in a very efficient manner.
That said, we have also had issues arise which threaten the future of this membership perk:
An alarming number of the items / combination of items are appearing on eBay for resale. If we find that a member has taken their gifts and are selling them in this manner, your membership will be immediately cancelled.
Members are contacting our sponsors to complain about certain items missing from their gifts and / or the delay in receiving them. As stated above, we cannot guarantee that all gift packs will include all of the items and our sponsors are under no obligation to provide enough product for all members. Our sponsors donate what they can and we should all appreciate that. Complaining to them only threatens the future of the gifts we can provide and as a result of such complaints, we've already had a significant number of our long time sponsors back out of future gifts.
We want our Modern Moms Clubs to be a positive experience for all members and do not want to see the gifts that we send disappear. We also want members who are a part of our organization to be positive and supportive of us and our efforts.
Therefore, if you have not received your gift bag as yet, cannot benefit from being a Modern Moms Club member aside from the gifts, and are unhappy enough that you'd like to cancel your membership, we will gladly refund your money. We want people on board who are excited and happy to be part of a growing organization.
