Just noticed on a statement of a card I never use, they sent a $20 credit which expires 5/15/05...I was informed it was an enticement sent to some cardholders...YMMV

Sigh....and my reward for being a loyal customer charging thousands of dollars a year on the card is: nothing.

Damn I should stop using their card and get the $20 credit. Not only is their citi dividend merchant a scam but their credit line increase is a joke. I've been their member since 1989 starting at $2500 credit line with a current credit line of $4000. All my other cards are at least $10,000. Well except the recent MBNA Schwab one since I already have one of their credit card

The only thing I like is their 5% rebate on groceries/gas and 1% on everything else and the virtual number generator.

I have made purchase through their link on giftcertificates.com (amazon) that was suppose to have 5% rebate. Never received it 7 months now. I called them a few times and every time I called they said wait for the next billing period. Finally the last time I called them in March they said they depend on the merchant to report the sale and they can't help me. I mean come on I purchased this through their link plus I have the citibank credit card statement to prove it. They said they can't use credit card statement as proof. I also went through them on Dell Home purchase, Bestbuy (I think) and a couple other merchants and never received any credit. The only credit I ever received was purchase made at Compusa B&M. They are worthless. I would've gotten rebates (although smaller percentage) if I went through places like ebates/extrarebates.
