cut and pastes from doing a google search for "Greenzap Scam"

It doesn't really matter on this forum, since we don't allow referral schemes. Although hopefully it saves people from some potential grief down the road once they start asking for personal info.

Some of the info is preliminary....but the bottom looks like it's starting to drop

Green Zap is the brainchild of Damon Westmoreland, a convicted felon and con artist.

His other projects include schemes like ThePayLine, MyPaySystems, Mazulah, Caruba International.  MLM schemes that ripped off people's bank accounts and left a lot of people with nothing.

the phone number on Greenzap's whois is the same as that for Muzumah.com,CardGlobal.com, Jet99.com (the SSL certificate on the Greenzap server is also for jet99.com which greenzap shares a server with) ...

...VERY interesting reading:

Also interesting reading, a search of the BBB by the whois phone number shows very interesting BBB reports for CardGlobal and Muzumah (which both share a phone number with greenzap)...the BBB report contains a little discussion on MLM and Pyramid Schemes

Yikes. Thanks for the info.

Guess the fact they didn't try to scam more detailed info right from the top sort of suckered many of us in.

That's how PayPal was described way back when it was competing with "x.com" until they merged - anyone remember that?

EDIT: Just Google "beam money" and a bunch of websites will come up describing PayPal that way.

Just figured I'd bump this since greenzap "launches" in less than an hour.

I never heard of it until 5mins ago, so I never messed with it, but sounds like some of you have.

Has anyone finished the registration process? I'm curious if there is money in there. I see Amazon is listed as one of their merchants.

Community rewardz

GreenZap has created a referral rewardz program to be fun, simple and reward you for expanding the GreenZap community.  Building the community in accordance with our Anti-Spam Policy is intended exclusively for good people who want to transact securely online.  It is for you to share with your friendz, family or co-workers who you think could benefit from the many services GreenZap provides.  With that in mind, the person who refers you to GreenZap is provided with your name and email along with a notice that you signed-up.  Sharing additional personal information within the GreenZap community will be optional and require your permission.
Consumer Access
We maintain procedures to assure the quality of information we collect and, where applicable, we will inform consumers about how they can access their personal information and make corrections, if necessary.  You can access and update your personal registration information by clicking on the "Profile" link.  For your protection, we reserve the right to independently verify updates made.
Opt-Out Right
GreenZap may disclose consumer information to third parties as described earlier in this notice. If you wish to opt-out, simply select the "Deactivate Account" link located within your "Profile".  You always have the right to change your mind.  If you do not opt-out, we'll assume that you have agreed that GreenZap may use your personal information to determine what goods and services you may be interested in, offer you goods and services that we think meet your needs, and for the other purposes described herein.

Permission Marketing Emails
Beyond communications required as part of terms of service (order confirmations, shipping details, etc.), users will occasionally receive information on products, services, specials, and/or newsletters via email.  Members who no longer wish to receive our email newsletter and promotional communications may indicate such wish by clicking on a designated URL supplied at the bottom of each email, or by un-checking the designated box located within your "Profile".
Security is Priority
At GreenZap, security is a priority. We employ appropriate measures to protect consumer information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. These may include, among others, encryption, physical access security and other appropriate technologies. GreenZap continually reviews and enhances its security systems, as necessary.

If you are asked to provide information on one of these web sites we strongly urge you to carefully study their privacy policies before sharing your information.
E-mail Scams
E-mail can be used for sending scams such as a false offer from a company or an alert to a false computer virus. These e-mails are often forwarded with good intention by friendz, adding an erroneous level of legitimacy. If you receive an e-mail that you think could be a scam, do not forward it and delete it immediately. If you receive an e-mail warning that a new computer virus is circulating, check the web site of any one of the well-known anti-virus software companies for validation.
Our Commitment
GreenZap is fully committed to meeting the highest standards for our privacy program and protecting your personal information.
GreenZap limits access to personal information to those employees of GreenZap and its affiliates who need it to fulfill their business responsibilities.  Employees must adhere to GreenZap's privacy policies.  Employees violating these policies may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal.  Vendors and other outside contractors we engage are subject to our contractual requirements to ensure that sensitive personal information is safeguarded.

I'm curious too, but I haven't completed the whole registration form. I looked at it, but that was all.

I found this site while trying to find greenzap info. It's another payment processor website launching soon.

https://www.alertpay.com/

Anyone know anything about this one?
cron
http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=2894&highlight=alertpay

That's all i could find on AlertPay. Seems too new, so there's not much info on it.
Barb09
I finished the registration NO bank info required, no CC, nothing...no new info was needed. I asked others what they wanted before I finished. Says I have $1,308 cash pending....$0 cash available Couple hundered in Web Bucks pending, $25 web bucks available....

Gives info on signing up for a Gold account (requires a $100 deposit)...no, thanks.

There are fees for everything....$2 to pay or get paid with a non-gold account, $1 for a gold account.

Webbucks are supposed to be for web vendors or to pay each other back and forth, but do not become cash-cash
BlueTDimly
Did anyone else get a phone call from GreenZap recently? I didn't bother to call them back. Interestingly they are now listed on the Pink Sheets. Still no visible way to cash out the "web bucks".
