To whom it might concern:
I signed up Comcast High speed internet service through Comcastoffers.com while they are having this deal of $19.99 for 6 months with no contract on Feb/17/2005. I also ordered a modem from the website. On the same day I received confirmation emails of both my Comcast high speed internet service and the modem with ATTMODEM-*****.
The modem arrived the next week. A few days later, I called Comcast to set up an installation for the cable TV service through the local office telephone number. I asked the representative on the phone if the TV installation guy would carry the internet selfinstallation kit to me on the same day he came for TV service so I won't have to wait for another installation appointment. I mentioned my online confirmation number and the CSR said "sure".
Someone came a few days later and helped me to set up the TV and the internet. He was very helpful and I was satisfied at that point.
However, when the bills came, I am very very surprised to see that I am being charged $45.95 each month for the internet service.
After several attempts to reach someone on the phone, I finally got the chance to talk to a Ms.N**** through the 1-800-633-4266 number tonight.
She told me that according to her records, I signed up for high-speed internet service on Feb/23/2005 with no special offer.
This does not make any sense to me. Why would I want to sign up for the service again 6 days after I got my confirmation email and dump the original good offer?
Ms.Newtan says she is the phone CSR and she has no idea what's going on at the online ordering department. It's different departments, she said. She also informed me that there is no way that I can reach any online ordering people by any 1-800 phone. So my only phone lays in this long long email trying to find out the answer.
To be frank, the price difference isn't that big for me comparing to other internet service carriers. But the quality of customer service is certainly one big thing that I can now compare to other companies and tell my friends and family about.
I hope I can have your reply very soon. At least as the promise on your website, within 24 hours.
Thank you for your concern.
Best wishes,
Carlos

I don't think they would give me any good answer. I think the CSRs are given orders to lie. Maybe those internet people would be better.
Is it just me or ... why am I having all these problems with these companies. What other customers would do? Just let the company screw you?
