Full Version: * DEAD * Dell Dimension 8400 + 19" lcd $499 AR @ DELL SB
bargainshare.com > Internet & Retail Deals > Deal Discussion
jambali
Update:

$300 coupon no longer valid.
You snooze you lose.
--------------

Looks like original outrageous option doesn't stack with the $300 off anymore. However, the regular system config:

P4 3.0Ghz
512MB RAM
40GB HDD
19" LCD
DVD+RW Burner

http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/c...zPbHa0038155069

still stacks with the $300 off coupon ( 0M$FRC7G$0H7TC ) + the new 10% off coupon.

Get your 10% off coupon here http://www.bargainshare.com/index.php?showtopic=60082

so your final price is $557 with the above specs.

------------------------------Deal Below is now dead -------------------
use this link to credit B$:
1. http://www.bargainshare.com/goto.php?http:...fpage=dimension
2. click on the dimension 8400
3. apply code: 0M$FRC7G$0H7TC for $300 off $899

be sure the $100 Rebate shows on your order detail page.
be sure to choose the free dual drive cdrom+cdrw

note: the $300 off $899 is not supposed to work for dell outrageous deals so this will probably get pulled very quickly. Act quick if you want this system.

Dam! $613.00 AR w/160 gig hdd, free dual players and E193fp!!!! I must resist! bang.gif
Techguy
This is tempting. For the previous poster, I wouldn't pay the +$69 for the CD-RW and DVD-ROM. You can get the CD-ROM and CDRW Dual Drives for free and buy a black DVD-ROM from newegg for like $20, or a 16x DVD+RW for $50ish.

I heard this monitor sucks, so if you are going to unload that to someone else I guess it dosen't really matter. wink.gif
jambali
yeah I agree that you can get better deals elsewhere for the dvd+rw. I am actually planning to unload the 19" monitor on ebay and use the 2005fpw monitor I got last week for $449.

snooze, I loose. They removed the rebate. But code works with the deal as op suggest.

interesting. The B$ referral link no longer works but if you go directly to the outrageous deals the rebate is still there.

Might be a sign that they are starting to pull this deal.

I didn't get in on this deal this time but it sure was HOT! This baby has really been smokin' tonight all around the boards! I wonder how many they sold tonight on this one???It sure was a good deal, especially with no hoops to jump thru! Congrads to all, you will be delighted once you unpack and fire this baby up! These machines are quite fast & efficient and you can hardly even hear them running! wink.gif

They removed the rebate from this system.

yeah looks like outrageous option doesn't stack with the $300 off anymore. However, the regular system config:

P4 3.0Ghz
512MB RAM
40GB HDD
19" LCD
DVD+RW Burner

http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/c...zPbHa0038155069

still stacks with the $300 off coupon + the new 10% off coupon.

so your final price is $557 with the above specs.
Rebates2Riches
For those of you getting in on SB deals today and want to make/save a little more, I am always looking for OEM copies of MS Office Basic 2003 (and Acrobat 6, which is offered on some Optiplex systems). Dell is offering Office for $29 on many systems right now, and I'm willing to pay MUCH more than that. PM me if you're interested.

They are going on ebay for $225 and ebay is now going to be getting flooded with people who will putting up their LCD. Prices will most likely go below $200. Not to mention that you can get one right now for $269 straight from dell on another thread going on right now. So it isn't that bad of a deal.

I didn't want to get this further since it's kinda off topic. But checked it anyway: Go to eBay, search for E193FP, filter to get flat panels only, check Completed Listings. I did a quick calculaltion of the average prices for 44 most recently closed auctions.

The mean winning bid was $250.21 and the mean shipping charge was $64.50, which gives a mean final price of $314.71!

Edit:
Here are the median values: $250.50, $64.99, $312.62.
And mode: $265, $82.99, $334.98.
And S.D. if you want: $30.46, $13.30, $27.46.

Don't forget ~$20 tax when ordering from Dell.

Ebay has about 10% fees. so even if it is around $300 you are minusing about $30. leaving you a total of $270. A net gain of possibly $20 and when ebay gets flooded you may not even get that much.
jambali
actually ebay alone is like ~4% and paypal is like ~3%. You pay a bigger percentage for lower value items.

I sold one of these monitors earlier this year for $300 + $50 S&H. The ebay fees came to $13 and the paypal fee was $8.

Anyhow, we're getting way off topic. These posts should probably be moved to Deal Discussion so the rest of the thread can concentrate on the Dell deal.

Had a question on the $100 rebate for this item. If you purchased two systems together, are you still eligible for 2 x $100 rebates? Do you send in one rebate submission? How do Dell rebates work? It is confusing since the rebate form says "5 Rebates per promotion period per customer", but then it says below that, "One rebate per qualifying purchase". Can someone clarify, please? Thanks.

I'll have to add this answer to the Dell FAQ.

You will be eligible for $200 in rebates. You only send one submission.
You can get a rebate form + packing slip by going to this link:
Dell Small Business populated rebate forms
Find your order number in the list provided. It will only show up if it has already shipped.
Print out the corresponding PDF file.
Just sign & date it & mail it in. It shows exactly how much you will be getting right on the form. smile.gif

No, I'm truly an exception to the law of averages. blink.gif

In fact, I think that Dell has someone monitoring my activities, simply so that they can wait until I'm otherwise busy and occupied before offering these sorts of deals.
