Has anyone heard abything about 700m's DVD burner?
Does it perform better on +R or -R?
Full Version: DVD+R or -R for Dell 700m 8x burner?
I didn't check the specs, but usually dell burners are only +R. I haven't checked laterly, maybe they sell dual format ones now?

Yap, it says DVD+R/-R and that it supports Dual Layer

Go into Control Panel...System...Device Manager, and look up the name aka mfr/model of the drive in there. That should help. I recently got a NEC ND-6500A DL+- burner with my 600m....which is really cool, cause it's the little cousin of the much-acclaimed NEC-2500/2510.
