And are they really a good deal. I know you have to "buy more in the future"
I want to start the Dr. Suess and Richard Scarrey collection for my son.
Any input would be good.

I have done better at yard sales and used book stores looking for books. If you know anyone with school age kids see if they will order books thru the school book clubs-Scholastic was the one at my kid's school. They used to have really good deals and the school would get free books as well Shipping and handling can kill the deal in book clubs..YMMV depending on the club. After you get your 12 books and the ones you have to buy cancel. Then look for a different club and start over.

I have found that the children's book ones are not a good deal at all. I paid for the first shipment and cancelled. They kept sending the books, I sent the first 2 shipments back marked "Return to sender-Did Not Order" and kept the next three shipments without paying before they stopped. Then I got like 5 more "Free" book deals from them (them being Grolier) so I sent them all in, kept the free books and sent the ones you have to pay for back in the original box (reglued shut) marked "Return to sender" again. They have finally quit sending me applications.

I used to belong to QPB which is a paperback book club. They did OK by me, basically no different than those Columbia/BMG CD deals. Don't know about children's books with them, but you can check the website.
