I'm looking to buy some nice window coverings for the kitchen. My kitchen is blue. I seem to be running into a snag over this... most window coverings for kitchens either look like a tablecloth, or ar flimsy, or in tones of yellow, red & green...
Who picks those patterns anyway???

I've checked: Sears, Wards, LNT, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Kmart, JCPenney, Spiegel, Walmart, Lowes, Domestications, Blair, Pottery Barn,

What am I forgetting?

It's the most thing I can find so far....

Kitchen curtains are not that hard to make. All you really need to be able to do is sew a straight seam. If you think you can handle that, try looking at flat bed sheets...they are always on sale/clearance, it seems, and provide yards of material.

you know, I curtain every window except the kitchen. I dont know why, except I like to look out it when I wash dishes.Did you look at Home Depot? they have some nice valences.

OMG!!! I think I may have found what I'm looking for... (parts of my house have a marine theme, even though we live up in the mountains... go figure)... I think I may seriously consider this one!

It looks "fun" and not too flimsy... we'll see.

p.s. Countrycurtains is very nice, but very expensive... my kitchen has 5 windows!!

Oh, I also like to look out the windows, but they are building a two-story house next door that will face straight into my kitchen and living room!
