I'm not sure what the problem with your Norton is, but you can use AVG Free edition to keep yourself protected until it's resolved, or just use AVG all the time. Great program IMO.

Norton AntiVirus (NAV), Norton SystemWorks (NSW), Norton Internet Security (NIS), probably Norton Personal Firewall, and likely other Norton products, as of version 2004, require ACTIVATION via a one time use activation code.

A google search may lead you to some hacks; however, w/ all of the FAR NAV, NIS, and NSW deals posted regularly in IRD, you're better off purchasing a real copy and activating it legitimately.

Just my 2¢ worth,
Diggler

P.S. NSW and NIS both include NAV.

I'd agree, you're much better off with the legit FAR stuff. Activation usually has the "Telephone/Fax" authentication method, where the software generates a "challenge" code and the software company then provides you (on paper, email, etc. not directly) with a "response" code that activates the s/w. Hacks eliminate the company from this chain.
