I was just wondering if anyone had had any troubles getting rebates from ATI. I just gote a postcard from them saying I didnt put the original UPC in with my submission.
I am 99.7% percent sure that I did but because their "system" says no the CSR's won't do much to help me*Grrrrr* bang.gif So now I might be out 30 dollars cause somebody opening envelopes couldnt find the upc.....
This is actually my first time with a problem like this , how have people handled it in the past.

Thanks ,

Assuming you saved copies of everything you submitted, the way to handle this rejection is to call back the rebate processor and ask how to submit a resubmission. This will typically involve FAXING in a copy of your rebate submission. When you send in the resubmission, write a letter stating that you included the ORIGINAL UPC CODE w/ your ORIGINAL SUBMISSION, and that you're providing the resubmission as proof.

If you did not save a copy of your rebate submission information, consider this a $30 lesson. If you're going to play the rebate game, always save a copy of all of the information you submit, for situations like the above will occur again.

Good luck,
Diggler

*EDIT For future reference, when including the UPC CODE, do not loosely drop it into the envelope. Affix it (i.e. STAPLE or TAPE) it to the REBATE FORM, the SALES RECEIPT, or a separate sheet of paper, and write (in large letters) "UPC CODE" above it.

I have had a couple (3 or 4) ATI rebates in teh past. One for $50 within the last two months, and never a problem.

Also have to agree with digger about makeing copies of everything and also taping UPC with "UPC Barcode" in bold ink. I use a color ink pen, usually a bright red or green so it stands out, too . . .
