I am looking for a DVD recorder. A good bargain???

I need to transfer most of our home VCR recordings to DVD in addition to recording TV programs and many other things.

HELP.

I have checked ebay and the average price is $150.......... any leads?

Very good deal. I would recommend picking up one with a hard drive though (usually around $300+) as they add the time slip viewing feature (pause "live" tv) and allow you to store & edit stuff before burning to dvd (like commercials or segments you dont like). I've had one since May and burned over 100 discs and cant imagine using one without a hard drive.

The best models that I have seen are the Panasonic ones (E-80, e-85, e-100)

Wow... I had no idea that Panasonic even made those! I kind of want one now even though I don't really need it. blushing.gif

Is there any kind of subscription fee for that or is the TV Guide thing that's built into it free to use??
