ereader.com is giving out a free ebook everyday in December. You need to give your credit card but it will show up as $0.00
yesterday's book was 9/11 commission (although I missed out on it too) and today's is secret agent. i will try to update everyday what book it is.

I am not sure-it shows up now as $2.95 by me too-no idea why-give me a few hours I am trying to look into it.
It was definitely free yesterday-I downloaded secret agent and I NEVR pay for anything!!
I think there must be a delay from when they post today's book and when it actually goes FREE. Anyway - OZ is free now!

BTW ... the screen that pops up asking for an unlock code - the code is your CC# that you registered with. Seems a little risky depending on how their software implements the security/unlock action.

just to explain this a bit since it might be a bit confusing... I posted this a bit later(3 days i think lol) than the OP here so AMS merged my thread with his.
just my luck-I finally found a decent deal and it had to be posted before
