This morning when DH brought in the mail he asked "Who's this Kari from Muscatine?" (next county to the south)...It was a hand addressed envie from a Kari Johnson...with the sample bracelet (cute) and a nice letter inside.

The lady runs this business out of her sheep farm, family computer, and the kitchen table. She usually sent out 2 bracelets a day, but on the day this offer hit the 'net she had 4000 requests.

I did send her an email thanking her...we probably even have friends in common as I've worked for Muscatine County in the past.

BTW...for years Muscatine was the US Pearl Capital...one of it's nicknames is "Pearl City." (another being "Melon City"... ). The pearls came from shellfish out of the Mississippi...
