As an AR price on BF, that doesn't shock me. I've got 6 200gig drives at my house right now that I got from staples a couple weeks ago for $70 each out the door (after coupons). In the past I've gotten them even cheaper when there were coupons and rebates to stack.
edit: I don't know if that $50 price is out the door or AR - I'd guess it'll be AR, but don't know.

Be careful - I wouldn't want to see you make the trip for nothing. I have a couple OM's by me. One hardly has any advertised product. The other seems to get the stock the other doesn't...sometimes. Sometimes both have very little advertised items in stock.

Hey guys, I was thinking about buying that drive. Can you tell me the difference between SATA and IDE? Is it about what my motherboard can handle? I've got a 60gb harddrive right now that I'd probably make a slave.

Sata is Serial ATA which uses a 7 pin cable thus it will not be compatible with normal IDE cables. If your mother board suports SATA than it would be ok. Serail ata transferrate is 150megs sec and where Ide hard drives usually transferrate is 100-133. I havent found any difference in the speed between SATA and ATA133 but SATA gives your Case a better look cause its nice and small cable. i wish they had the SATA with 16 mb buffer for that price haha.

I see. I doubt my motherboard does support SATA, as IDE seems to be more widely used. Thanks, still.

i noticed how the prices on CD-R's have risen sicne last black friday. last year most stores had 100 free CD-R's AR. And also throughout the year you could get 50 cd'rs for bout $3 AR. anyone kno why prices have rose for them?

my guess is they've cut back production of CDRs in favor of DVDrs....
