I used most of my flex $'s on Lasix surgery this year.
Great list, Monga.
I was on drugstore.com and noticed that they say that diaper rash ointment is eligible for FSAs.
For those with a CVS close by I noticed that you can track purchases eligble for FSA and request an email from them.

This is the first year I am participating in an FSA plan. Do all plans cover the same OTC brands? I have been depending on drugstore.com to find out if something is FSA eligible, they put an FSA logo on products they believe to be the most likely to be covered. But then if I google, I see a list like
this which lists eligible brand names, and I see Clearasil and Citrucel, but drugstore.com does not have those marked as eligible. My plan has a very minimal website and does not mention any brand names.
So... does anyone have any experience submitting these brands? Do you think they are covered? By all plans, or is it on a plan-by-plan basis?
BTW, the link in the OP doesn't work anymore.

I was gonna sign up for one, but missed the cutoff date...maybe next year.
I do not think citrucel is eligible unless you have something written by a doctor saying why you need it.

Just to follow-up, Clearasil was rejected, but Band-Aids were accepted by my plan.

Thanks for the info. My employer is finally adding a FSA to the benefits lineup for 2006
Apricot,
Did you write an explaination of benefits that it was over the counter acne medication when you submitted your receipt in for reimbursement?

My previous plan just required me to list the brand name of OTC product and send a copy of the receipt. I'll try submitting to my new plan and see what happens.
Bumping since it's that time of year.
^ bump
reminder to submit some claim forms in.
Good reminder. You should also check to see if you have additional money left in your account, and if so, schedule some additional work to be done so that you can spend all that's in the account... or load up on prescription and OTC drugs.
Getting close to the end of the year...
^ getting closer to the march 15 deadline.
^ getting closer to the end of the year.
check if you have money left. submit claim forms in, etc.
bump for anyone who has the 3/15 extension option.
just wondering, I was going to get contacts but my eye doctor is out until next week. but a guy at his office said they could "pre-date" receipts for me....is this at all unusual?
