Maybe someone can help me. I am looking for a womans size 12 loafer type shoe. It needs to have a wide toe box (not wide shoe) and a narrow heel. I wear orthodics and I just got a new pair so none of my old shoes fit. Right now, I have SAS shoes (yes, the old people kind) and Merrell slip ons. If anyone knows of anywhere, at a good price, could you please let me know. They have to be flats or something no higher than a 1" heel. I am too tall to get higher heels. THanks!

Could you wear a men's size 10 or so? I wear a 6 1/2 ladie's shoe, but my most comfortable tennis type shoes and boots are boy's sized 4 1/2, and I've even worn boy's boat shoes and loafer in the past.

all those shoe stores at Wrentham?
kattails2
Kar- Yes, I can wear a 10 in mens but I can not get dressy work shoes in mens sizes.

Crimson- I have tried EVERY shoe store in Wrentham. I was there more than 6 hours. I hate shopping, and I hate shoes. Nothing that fits right and many stores do not sell size 12. I have tried the DSW, and so far everything in a 12 is heeled way to high for me. Jamiels does not carry many 12s at all. This is a PITA. I thought finding an 11 was bad. Now cry.gif I can't find anything. i have no problem buying another pair of Merrells but... I can't wear them with dresses/suits, so I need a dressier shoe. Thank you both for your help!

kat2 -- i can relate, i had orthodics for heel spurs after i had the 4th kid .. thank god i don't need them anymore. I also wear 10.5 to 11 wide so finding something that fit with those in and looked decent was not easy. The most comfortable thing that worked for me was a pair of chunky boots but i know what you mean about needing something dressier.

What about this pair?

Hmmm, that one may not be bad at all. Aack! They are out of size 12. I have bookmarked it though and will see if they become available.

My wife, who is on her feet a lot, likes Born shoes. They're sufficiently dressy and sufficiently comfortable, and don't have high heels. I checked on Zappos and they only had up to 11s, same with Shoebuy. Don't know if they just don't carry higher, or if Born doesn't make higher. Anyway, if you see them, they might be worth a try.

Thanks Dewolfxy. Many shoe companies only go upto a 10 or 11. They are out to get us tall women. tongue.gif

P.S. I hate shoe shopping.

Do these look dressy enough for work in a dress? I am fashion deficient, I swear.

Oh yeah, I don't believe the cheapest woman alive is looking at $128 shoes.

I know nothing about this store/site, but they seem to have lots of choices.

And if you know of any cross dressers, they often know where to buy the stylish larger sized shoes....seriously...noexpression.gif

<raises hand for another hard to fit shoe size> 9 1/2 W is not easy to find.

I LOVE SAS shoes. I have never worn anything as comfortable as my black SAS flats in my life! I love Clarks for casual wear. They fit very well and tend to run a tad wide. http://www.clarksusa.com/product/default.a...vel1=F&Level2=1 While not what you are looking for at this time, keep them in mind for casual wear.
Try http://www.zappos.com/womens.zhtml This is the link to low heel size 12 women's shoes 45 pages of them, 531 choices tongue.gif You should be able to find something you can use. The few I clicked on went to a size 13 in women's.
