I really hope this is true. Firefox is a great browser but I think FF is too geeky to ever take away any significant market share from IE. But with Google, a name most ppl are aware of, wil have a better chance of doing any major damage. The more competition the better.

Maybe now we can have two corporations vowing to take over the world with computers! They can keep each other in check!

Yeah, I'd be afraid to use a gbrowser because of their alterior motives, but like smitty said, the more competition the better.

I was thinking the same thing.

I'd probably try it once it's released to see what it's like, but I'm happy with Firefox.

I'm curious to what will make theirs better than IE (boy, that would be a challenge!) and Firefox (with proper extensions). I can envision people switching away from "Microsoft" to "Google" without giving firefox a try, just because of the name

Oh well, the less people who use firefox the less attacks will be targeted for firefox browsers
