I got a Radeon 9500 Pro and I need to RMA it.
Do they check the card (if yes, what do they check?) when they recieve it or do they send you a new one?

Why don't you just contact the vendor and ask?
In general, most companies just send you a new or refurbished unit to expedite the process. In fact, many companies offer Advance RMA to minimize your downtime...they send you the new/refurb unit ahead of time. But go ahead and contact their RMA department and find out.
