Im looking for a Pentium M / Pentium 4 or Pentium Centrino notebook that runs fairly fast and do not heat up fast.
Specs im looking for

Pentium 4 2.4 or faster
Pentium M 1.4 or faster
Pentium Centrino

RAM DDR
256 MB of Ram or Higer 1 stick. (upgradeable)

15 inches or bigger. SXGA

Wireless option

30 gb harddrive or bigger.

CD-rw/dvd rom combo

Decent video card to play some games. (warcraft3)

Would anyone know if I can find this kind of notebook for the price im looking for. $800?

I have seen some clearance sales at walmart but i was unable to get a hold of one of them.. Staples had an AMD 2600 with the specs im looking for but it went out of stock before i could add to cart.

I haven't been following the laptop market lately, but my guess is you'll have a hard time getting the specs you want under $800. You'll probably have better luck if you are willing to go up to $1000 or maybe a bit higher. BTW, I'm guessing you want a Pentium M or a Pemtium 4-M (not a desktop P4) processor. I haven't seen any sub-$1000 deals on laptops with mobile processors.

Your best bets aree probably the Dell outlet or the non-name-brand stuff (like Averatec etc.) at places like Best Buy.

P.S. Centrino and Pentium M are essentially the same. Centrino is just a marketting name that includes the Pentium M processor, Intel 855 chip set, and intel wireless networking.
