Before moving to XP, I remember there used to be a bottom section to the IE browser where you could see what was happening (ie, loading, etc) and you could switch languages and the lock was down there also. Ever since I switched to XP and upgraded my browser, I no longer have that bottom on my browser. Does anyone know if it is possible to get it back? I have ended up using Netscape when I make a purchase because I can make sure I have a lock on Netscape. It gets to be a pain going back and forth. Help, please?

on top of IE, there should be a "view" menu

make sure the "status bar" in the view menu is checked

Also, see this thread on how to lock the status bar in Windows XP so that it STAYS there. It'll occasionally go away, otherwise bang.gif.

And my daughter thanks you too! She came in as I was asking the question and said she missed it too. Now we will both have it back !

Thank you again! smile.gif
