I can't get into B$ chat -- been happening since I ran spybot and adaware.

After I've cleared my cache and cookies, I click on chat and enter my user id and password and this message then comes up:

"Chat Room Requires A JAVA Enabled Browser! If you DO have a Java enabled browser, it may be turned off OR the closing </APPLET> tag is missing from the code on this page."

I uninstalled and reinsatlled JAVA and rebooted. Still not working. I use IE 6.0 and Java is enabled.

Any suggestions?

this probably won't help, but it's all I could find.
I think TG keeps housecleaning. (that's a good thing! )

No answer to your problem, but I look at my control panels and see:
TWO "java" plug-ins
version 1.3
version 1.4

this normal?

I never have to enter userid or pw, either. I used to get those stupid coffee cup icons in my tray, but now they never show up. I think I got irritated with them once and deleted them.

Huge thanks to all who assisted in getting my screwed up java fixed -- what eventually worked was a system restore and un, then reinstall of java.
