Hi, everyone. For the last two days, I have been unable to look at a bunch of websites that I usually visit every day, including Google, Yahoo mail, Ebay search, and some others. I keep getting the "Page cannot be displayed" message and refreshing doesn't help. Can all these websites be down at the same time, or is something wrong with my settings? Other websites, including this one, are still accessible. Thanks for any help you can give. I have emailed technical support for my ISP with no response. Thanks again!

You might get a little more help with some more info, like what OS(Win XP, 98, etc.), what browser, who is your ISP and have you made any changes right before this has happened?

First things that come to mind:

Have you installed any programs in the past few days? Is there any other strange behavior?

Have you called your ISP to see if they changed DNS numbers and didn't tell you?

Sounds like you've been infected with the QHosts trojan. Run a virus scan on your system. Make sure you are using updated virus definitions. If you don't have an antivirus program or are unsure how to update the definitions then run an online virus scan: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

NOTE: If you are infected with this trojan a scan will detect and remove it from your system, however the changes that the trojan made may not be automatically reversed.

After doing the scan report back and let us know if anything was detected and if you're still having the problem.
