Is it just me or does everyones email say there is 1 new message no matter what when logged in and looking at the Yahoo home page.

Weird...I guess I never noticed that before because I only check it maybe once a day..and there's usually always some kind of junk waiting for me...I just read or deleted everything and it does say I have 1 new message.

I never noticed either. I usually log in, delete everything (all junk), then log out. In all the years I've been using Yahoo I've never surfed beyond the email area while being logged in.

its been like that for like a week now. Annoying.

I'm not sure what you're saying here... It states the correct amount of unread messages for me, but then I always leave some unread...

It's showing the correct amount of unread mail for me. But, like Frank, I leave some of my mail unread.

It usually shows the incorrect amount for me most of the time. I just ignore it.

Sometime some of the spam would have forged dates so it won't appear as the first few emails. It might be on the 2nd page or so depending on how many emails you got.

It happens to me sometimes too. I get a "x" unread message and I couldn't find it until I went to the next page.

I go to my Yahoo mailbox,get new mail then I return to the Yahoo home page

After I hit "refresh" the new mail messages for me go away :-)

For some reason sometimes New Mail for me shows up in the Bulk Mail :-)

Empty trash, and bulk mail, good luck

I have had that happen too..............

I just emptied my trash and the message went away...amazing what a little house cleaning can do!

This was my guess too.

I use my.yahoo.com to get to my new mail and sometimes it says "new mail" after I've read it, or it won't say "new mail" when I do have mail. That bugs me sometimes, but I go in there often enough that I don't listen to the little picture

I'm not sure, as I download my Yahoo! mail into my email program, rather than reading it on the website.
