Here is my problem- I have a coupon for 15 percent off all purchases at the Childrens Place. It says print off your coupon and bring it into the store- copying and pasting does not work. How do I do this?

I'm confused. Are you saying that you have an email picture that you want to add to the thread so that other people can see it?

If so, then you need to have some sort of hosting space that you can refer other people to. Since you are asking the question, you don't have it.

However, if you need someone to "host it" just ask around. I'm sure someone will be glad to help. smile.gif

Its a coupon you print out from your email- click here and print your coupon. A new window (like a pop up) comes up and you can print. It does not have an address area though. I guess I could scan it but I have no idea how I could get that into a post either.

Hmmmm, have you tried highlighting the picture (click, hold and drag mouse over picture) and copying (CTRL-C) and pasting (CTRL-V)?

Frank, that is one thing I did try and it did not paste. Thanks for trying!

Oh wait, you're trying to post the image in a THREAD bang.gif. The problem is that when you post a message in a B$ thread, it only accepts text as valid. What you might have to do is

1) right-click on the image you want to point to,
2) click on copy shortcut (if you don't see copy shortcut, click on properties and view the actual URL of the image)
3) use that shortcut (or URL) in the http or img button.

Did that make any sense?

ED: for no copy shortcut

Miranda
Have you tried this:

right-click the picture
choose "properties"
highlight the address
copy

click on the IMG button and paste
Frank

Example.

ED: Yes, use the IMG as Miranda said. HTTP isn't quite what you want unless you want it to launch in a separate window outside the thread.

Can you do a "view source" of the page?

im assuming ur using IE as ur default web browser. try this:

right click the image.
click properties
copy and paste the Address/URL

to get the direct link to that page, right click anywhere there's no link/image and click properties and u'll get the url of the page ur looking @ even if the title bar/menu bar are hidden.
