but for some reason it will not recognize either as 256mb. i took all memory out and tried jsut one stick. it sees it as 120MB, not even 128. i use bootup to see this and WCPUID (a known and trusted tool) to check what the computer see's it as. i tried different slots but it seems as though this mobo requires the memory be in slot 1. i tried a bunch of different combinations. it never registers as even 256 with both in.
any ideas? it's a new problem to me. i thought 133 is backwards compatible to 100mhz. upon reading the manual i dled off of gigabtyes site on this mobo i have finally found that it says '67-100mhz.' it never said that anywhere else on their site (like quoted above. so i figured 133 or 100 was fine since 133 is backwards compatible to 100, or atleast that's what ithought. does that make sense though? just because it's 133 instead of 100mhz it thinks it's only 120mb instead of 256mb?
