I updated to Firefox 4, & it is driving me crazy. The right clicked open a new tab is now on top of open in a new window instead of below it. bang.gif bang.gif bang.gif

Use:
CTRL-T to open a new tab
CTRL-W to open a new window

Much easier than clicking things.

?

Is that a new change? For me it's CTRL-N for new window, CTRL-W to close a tab.

In case you didn't know it, middle-click (or mouse wheel click) is typically "open in new tab" for Firefox (at least it has been in 2 and 3, haven't upgraded to 4 yet).

I do that too... well, when I'm actually using a mouse, but I mostly use a touchpad.

Ctrl-click works too for opening links in a new tab. Or shift-click if you want to open them in a new window.

FF4 randomly crashes for me.

Mouse wheel click seems to close tab in FF4.

My other minor annoyance with FF4 is 1-click weather doesn't seem to work anymore. I even re-loaded it. I miss the current & future weather from the right side of the status bar. Just noticed the status bar is gone as well. blink.gif

Wait, there's no status bar? I haven't upgraded yet since some of my extensions aren't compatible. Is the option to show/hide the status bar still on the View menu?

It will open links in a new tab if you middle-click on a hyperlink, it will close a tab if you middle-click on a tab.

There is no status bar set on the screen, however there are certain items that will appear in that location with a mouse-over, or other notification.
