I have those old-fashioned (2) USB enclosures with a HDD inside to use for backups. Have not used them in a long time. Today I plug it in and nothing.

Tried on my desktop and tried on a laptop. It has on/off button, no lights.

There is a DC input but I don't remember having to use that ever?

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Unless it's one of those little ones that take the laptop (2.5") hard drives & can get its power from a USB port, you need to plug an AC adapter into the "DC input" jack.

garsh beat me to it, but 99% that you need the power cord.

THANK YOU!!!

I have 2 drives in a "fire bag" and there was only 1 power cord in there.
