does it really matter which carrier it was used for? we have old phones but it would be torture for you. I am using an old one out of the drawer myself. I was lucky to find the charger. We are with AT&T and have 2 year contracts. Meanwhile the phones only last 1 year.

AT&T and Verizon use different radio frequencies you can use phones for one carrier on the others infrastructure.
