Does CoolPreviews work well for you? It was quite buggy when I tried it.
It works great, the majority of the time. I use it constantly on my home desktop when web browsing, and I really miss not being able to use it at work when I have to research an issue through our databases. That being said, some individual releases turn out to be very buggy and I'm not convinced that it always plays well with other plug-ins. The current version (3.1.0625) has worked very well for me to date. I do always make sure I have the installer for the current version backed up so I can go back to it if necessary after a bad upgrade.
BTW, it pretty much doesn't ever work right on pages that are still loading. If you have problems with pages that keep loading and loading in a tab, you'll usually have to hit the browser Stop button on that page before CoolPreviews will work on that page. Also, it you have an issue where the preview icon won't display, try using a single left click on the link at issue, then release it. When you hover over the link again, the icon will usually appear. It has been my experience, though, when this starts to happen you just need to restart your browser (I suspect a memory leak, either in Firefox, the extension, or both is the cause).

Oh BTW I have Fasterfox, Ultimate pricechecker, allmusic apart from some others mentioned.
I ended up having to remove Fasterfox as it was simply causing too many problems with my web browsing (incomplete web page rendering, pages that never stopped loading, etc). In the end, it came down to either Fasterfox or Coolpreviews, and Coolpreviews won.
