My desktop that I do a lot of development on has Vista Home Premium. Works fine, but doesn't support remote desktop, which makes it annoying to connect remotely using VNC with a lower-resolution laptop.

Finally got around to solving this problem by following these instructions to enable RDP. Worked great (of course I reviewed the batch file and REG entries first!).

The only additional step I had to do was to open port 3389 TCP in Windows Firewall. Yeah! banana.gif

Great tip - I have had problems trying to remote into my son's computer and never got it to work. I am going to upgrade him to Win 7 Ultimate, so the problem should go away. This would have solved a lot of problems.
