The island of Curacao is running a promotion to increase travel there - as is almost every travel location. It is a small island 35 miles off the coast of Venezuela, that is part of the Dutch Netherlands Antilles. It is in the Caribbean, but not in the hurricane belt. The full details are at their website. Just got in tonight and so far the folks here are great. They kept the restaurant open later for us, and then when I tried to get online, they opened up the Executive Lounge for us to be able to use computer and make a VOIP call - no complaints at all so far.

Hi wheel,

Overall, how are their prices, especially restaurants?

Enjoy your vacation.

We had a great seafood dinner tonight - about $50 for two of us. Typical Caribbean prices, but I must say they are really desperate to be helpful to the tourists. I like it here as it is not dominated by American tourists. Mostly European and South American. Island time is a definite way of life here. Things take longer, but who cares. Easy to get used to it.
