I often need to organize groups of pictures and then rename them sequentially. For example, I might want to group all the pics of a bride together and I want the names of the pictures after I order them to be "bride1.jpg, bride2.jpg, etc.". Is there any easy way to do that? In Windows it's possible, but sometimes it takes 10 attempts before it actually keeps the correct order. I have no idea why. Is there some free, easy software to do this?
I've used software for this in the past. It was so long ago I don't remember, but I do remember that I d/led from download.com
I'm about 75% sure that it was an older ver. of File renamer that I used.

I've been using this freeware for some time:
Bulk Rename Utility
http://www.bulkrenameutility.co.uk/It can rename sequentially based on filename, created/modified/accessed times, length of filename, and several others.
Looks like this will work:
Rename ItI don't recall what I've used in the past though.
