It's just too easy to create really good looking coupons and try to use them in stores. The people that I know who run restaurants train the employees on current coupon promotions and do not accept those that appear to be fake. It happens very often.
Alan, even legit coupons and company promotions seem to be a PIA for many franchise owners. News flash, consumers don't care who actually owns 'Burger Biggie', they just want their coupons honored. For myself, time wasted in line, either inside or the drive-thru, too often make coupon usage a PIA.
I would like to ask management or the owners why they hired so many slugs. Perhaps keeping labor cost low comes before getting customers waited on and served in a timely fashion. Also given that for many fast-food employees this is their first job, training them to be hard workers might help them later on.
