Just switched jobs, and my new company has some good corporate discount deals. I am thinking about switching from AT&T to Verizon. Obviously, being a new customer, I'd like to take advantage of whatever deals are out there for new customers (rebates, promos, etc.) - does this still happen to the extent it used to about 1-2 years ago? Where's the best / cheapest place to order phones and service these days?

I went to an AT&T store and got them to give me the rebate as an instant rebate on the phone I bought. Then I went to another one, asked for the rebate form on that particular model of phone, and sent it in. Worked well. Maybe a similar thing would work for you. Alternatively, sign up through Amazon or buy.com - they sometimes have good deals.
