Full Version: Move my Comcast

Comcast has one of the worst customer service personels ever. I wanted a simple transfer service and they put me on hold for 25 minutes with a lazy talking "Johns".

More to come is the transfer fee. $31.95 for staying with Comcast. If only Fios is available in Quincy...

A google search leads me to www.comcastspecial.com WOW! Dear Deals! I can cut my payment in half for the next 6 months (for TV and Internet) plus $225 cash rebate!

Has anybody tried this? Is it reliable?

I've been hearing it on the radio constantly, so yeah, I think it's legit.

Since you are already a Comcast customer, good luck getting the special. Call 'em back, ask for a supervisor and calmly tell that person you want to continue to be a Comcast customer. Say you are looking DirecTV, Dish NetWork and even hanging an antenna outside the house.

Looks like the broadband special is only available for existing Comcast cable TV customers.

Tell them you are thinking of leaving, and be prepared to leave. They will usually offer some special deal.

FYI, I do not believe comcastspecial.com is actually affiliated with Comcast the company. I think they are a reseller called Broadband National, with a very bad reputation for paying rebates.

I recently re-upped with Comcast after my last promo ran out, with the same services as I had, for a better rate than I was getting (~$87/mo for all 3 services). That said, the promos they offer to NEW customers are generally a lot easier to get. There's no particular reason to try to move the service, unless you want to keep the phone number.

Hmm, I've also heard on the radio about healing magnets and herbal weight loss supplements, so I don't think that makes it legit. But separate from the radio comment, I do think they're legit. I've used broadbandoffers.com and similar services in the past, and it's always worked out.
