gave it a shot, no instant approval for me though. I'll try to get it converted to the no annual fee card before the year is up...or cancel it.

Also updated the OP with info about Cash Back. 25k points = $250 cash back which can be sent via check.

Thanks cron!

applied but not the instant approval..bummer.
cron
i didn't get instant approval either. I figure it will show up in the mail in a few weeks.

What makes it charge a $95 annual fee? I don't see any reasonable incentive that one would stick with the card after the first year.
cron
The transferring points at full value to other airlines is probably the reason for the annual fee.

If you're not interested in that, then it would be best to cancel or downgrade to the regular sapphire card that has no annual fee before the free year is up.

Instant approval banana.gif

Got an email saying the card is on its way. The ironic thing is that from my AOR, I already had 1 pers and 2 biz cards with Chase, with total CL > $75k banana.gif

Got my card. When activating it, the CSR also mentioned the 25k point bonus after 1st purchase, so I guess it's likely we'll get it banana.gif

It looks the sign up bonus is downgraded to 15k...

Got my card in the mail on Saturday. Need to call to activate now. Only a $2k line. Thanks! smile.gif

Got approved, but they siphoned off credit from another card I never use. Its weird, it was like a credit swap between cards. HEHE, makes no difference to me however, thanks for the free airline ticket.

Another number to get info on application status or more details from Chase if you were declined:

Surprisingly enough I ended up getting declined saying something about too many new accounts.

The lady on the phone at the last number I posted claimed that they only allow one new card every six months. No idea what to make of that.

Anyways, I got them to re-review the application after cutting my credit limit down on one card and closing another one. Today I get an email that the card is on the way.

Worked out, but a little bit too much hassle. There was no way i was going to take a declined application from anyone though. I would have closed all the rest of my chase card accounts before that happened.

I got my bonus, whoooooo hoooooo and I will be cashing out now. Thanks everyone. Thanks OP. This was a sick deal which doesn't come around often anymore.

Cashed my $250 worth of checks this weekend. Thanks again for posting, cron! banana.gif
