I do admit, I don't usually use these bags for shopping...I need the plastic bags for poopy diapers, messy garbage, bathroom trashcan liners...but I have all kinds of uses for the totes...they're great for storing toys, stockpile items, toting to the ball games, using for Polish luggage (I am Polish so I'm allowed... )...

same here. i have 2 dogs and i need my trash can liners. i do use these bags when the store gives me 10c back for bringing my own bag tho . i got a free world market bag and it is still holding the stuff i had in my cubicle in preparation for layoffs when i cleaned my cube.
