We just recently got a Walgreens here in w. Pa. banana.gif Until now, we had a Rite Aid.

What are their policies for coupons, and what good deals can I expect there?

Thanks!

Coupon policies kind of depend on your store and what cashier checks you out...

It used to be a whole lot more fun to shop...but deals can still be had...it's just a bit harder

We post the current ad, and some of the previews in our GC forum...

You can look here and see what's been going on the last few years... tongue.gif

A lot of the new Walgreens have Take Care clinics inside of them. Definitely a good thing to keep in mind, since you can just walk-in (unlike a dr's office).

I've been doing some work with them, and they even have an offer at those clinics where they'll give you healthcare visits for free if you lose your job and insurance: http://takecarerecoveryplan.com/recoveryplan/

Also, they keep an updated list of printable Walgreens coupons on their site here: http://walgreens.com/coupons

Interesting...haven't seen one of those near me. Maybe they are rolling them out in phases.

They have a store locater that only shows stores w/ the clinics in them - looks like there are several in the Pittsburgh area: http://takecarerecoveryplan.com/clinic-loc...s.aspx?region=6

I hadn't heard about this either, but I'd guess they're doing this in response to the CVS "Minute Clinic", which is pretty similar in concept.

yes - they are pretty handy to have around, especially if you get sick on a weekend but it's not serious enough to go to an emergency room. I was surprised to see it but they are even open all Memorial Day wknd.

Hey attachedMama, there was a pretty interesting write-up about this in USA Today: http://www.usatoday.com/money/advertising/...-job-loss_N.htm
